Cano Mocs and Docs 2804 is a short film festival for Documentaries and Mockumentaries involving STEM based themes i.e. (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) which will be held this weekend on Saturday 13th October. Everyone is welcome to attend the Cano Mocs and Docs 2804 at The Age of Fishes Museum, Canowindra from 6:30 to 9:30 pm. The movies will start at approximately 7:30 pm. The cost is a Gold Coin Donation on entry.
There will be a sausage sizzle and movie snacks and drinks available on the night. The festival is proudly supported by Cabonne Council, The Age of Fishes Museum, Windowrie Wines and Newcrest’s Mining’s Cadia Valley Operations.
The idea behind Cano Mocs and Docs 2804 is to showcase and encourage people of all ages to wonder at the marvels of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) subject matters. This year’s signature item is “Fossil”, from the Science category which is included creatively in the films.
The Country Education Foundation of Canowindra who will host the film festival was established to provide much needed financial assistance and support to local youth to help them achieve their post high school education, training and vocation aspirations.
On the night the Country Education Foundation of Canowindra will be announcing the successful grant applicants for this year, working to help them achieve their aspirations. “It’s our way of saying we believe in you and want to support your goals,” said Peter Stacey, Organiser of the event.
