Seniors Festival-You Are Never Too Old

1 March, 2017 By Canowindra Phoenix Editor

NSW Seniors Festival is on with hundreds of events and special offers on to provide a wealth of experience for you and the local community. The event runs over 10 days from the 3rd to 12th March. This is the events 59th year and is the largest festi- val for seniors in the Southern Hemisphere reaching up to 500,000 seniors each year.

If you are over 60 this festival provides you with the opportunity to make new friends or connect with old ones through events held in local communities. There is always more room in life for more fun, experiences and laughter so get involved with this year’s Seniors Festival and share the experience with friends and family.

There will be a range of activities held across NSW from concerts, workshops, classes, expos and outdoor activities. The aim of the festival is to inspire people to get involved and do more things.

The festival is also to recognise the role

seniors play and the contribution they make to communities.

Seniors are the foundation of most local communities and play such an important role in society. They provide experience, expertise, advice and stories to many peo- ple and this festival is all about recognising that and celebrating with them as we give them the opportunity to get involved in a number of different activities and get active again.

You are never to old to try something new, laugh more, meet new people and really live your life to the fullest.

See what events are on around you and get along to them to make sure your retiring years are made worth it.
