Last week saw the start of the school year for 2018 at the three local schools in Canowindra for new and old students. The wait was finally over on Friday morning for the new Kindergarten kids at Canowindra Public School after completing their “Beststart” earlier in the week. Twenty five eager students arrived at the school with family and friends for the start of their education.
Canowindra Primary School has two kindergarten classes this year taught by Mrs Jessica Swords and Mrs Janelle Pearce with a combined K/1 class. The teachers are looking forward to teaching their new students who seemed very eager to learn and expand their minds this year.
This years Canowindra High School incoming Year 7 group consists of 36 new students from the surrounding Primary Schools in the area as they begin their High School experience with their year advisor Mr Warren McKenzie.
