As the Winter School Holiday break approaches, we have compiled a list of activities and ideas for you to make these next two weeks a little easier on local families.
Alikinetic Dance has a whole host of school holiday classes, camps and activities on offer. All programs include hot lunches, healthy snacks and plenty of fun! Open to children from preschool to high school ages. With themes such as under the sea, pyjama day, acro-gymnastics and Disney, there will be something for everyone.
The Age of Fishes Musuem is hosting a free family science day on Saturday 1st July. Free craft, BBQ and entry to the museum on the day.
Another great school holiday activity is to check out our libraries. Our local library has a lot to offer these holidays including organised activities. A full program of events can be found on their website, Central West Libraries.
In Cowra, CINC will be hosting a free screening of The Little Mermaid Movie on Wednesday, 5th July from 1:30pm – 3:45pm at Cowra Civic Centre. Bookings are essential through CINC’s website. CINC has several other activities throughout the holidays, so be sure to check out their social pages for more information.
Cowra Tennis will be running tennis camps from 11-13th July from 9-11 am. $35 Per day. Bring lunch, morning tea and snacks. Tennis rackets are available to borrow or buy. Contact Helen Garrett on 0407 139 164 for more information.
Bathurst Winter Festival, just a short drive away and runs from 1st to 16th of July with plenty of entertainment for the whole family including ice skating, amusement rides and entertainment.
Plus, don’t forget we are surrounded by national parks, heritage listed towns and villages, exciting playgrounds, bike tracks and tourist attractions for a perfect picnic spot or day trip.
