The Canowindra International Balloon Challenge revealed last week that it will be back in 2021. Next year’s event will run from Saturday 24th April until Sunday 2nd May 2021, with the famous Balloon Glow to be held on the evening of Saturday 1st May 2021. “We are ready and raring to go for 2021!” said Andrew Pull, President of the organising committee.
“The 2021 Canowindra International Balloon Challenge will be a fantastic event and we are looking forward to welcoming back all of our sponsors, balloon teams, visitors and locals to this amazing event that’s perfect for the whole family and is mostly free,” local business owner and board member, Sarah Cummings said.
“We are a very proud and friendly town and it’s a great opportunity to showcase our many talents, amongst one of the most beautiful regional areas in NSW,” Sarah said.
“Next year is a really busy time for the balloonists with three other events happening in the 6 weeks before our event, so it’s great to see such an early commitment from the balloonists,” said board member, Annette Thomas.
The busy balloonist calendar has also meant the organisers needed a slightly different time slot with the event now occurring after the first term school holidays.
“We want to be able to provide the best event we can and we need to push the dates back a week to accommodate exist- ing ballooning events so we can get the maximum number of balloons at the event,” said Andrew.
“There will be something for everybody at this year’s event and we encourage everyone to keep up to date by following our website and facebook sites as we release more information over the coming months, but for now save the date and we look forward to seeing you all in Canowindra in April next year,” concluded Andrew.
