The Canowindra Tigers took on Peak Hill Roosters last weekend and took an early lead with two tries in the 5th and 10th minutes. Peak Hill snuck in a try in the 15th minute to narrow the gap in the score a little bit only to see the Tigers hit back hard, taking the score to 22-6 in the Tigers’ favour. Peak Hill came back to put the Tigers under some pressure, scoring again to even the
scores. With a semi-final spot on the line, the Tigers worked hard to turn it around and they did with great defence from the forward pack
combined with strong attacking raids. The Tigers’ back line fired off the back of the forwards for Jake Davis to score a total of 4 tries from his 20 carries, including one from 50 metres out. It was a very good second half from the
Tigers who won the day with 22-10 on the scoreboard.
The Tigers travel to Eugowra on Sunday and a win there will confirm their position on the ladder with an assured spot in the semifinals. All three grades will play with kick off at 11:30am. Get out there and support your team!
