Congratulations to Bob & Shirley Robson on winning the mixed pairs for 2014. On Weds they defeated R Traves & D Slattery 27-20, on Sat they def C & L Balcombe 26-22 and on Sun they took on R Lynch & S McDonald in the final, just beating them 33-30. A special congratulations to Ron and Sandy on making it to the final. On Sat the other semi-final saw Ron & Sandy def V Mirto & J Middleton 33-31 in a tight game. Ron suffered from heat exhaustion but stubbornly continued and at 95 years old won in fine style! Congratulations to all players. This was our last competition for 2014 so hopefully there will be fun days from now on. Don’t forget the 29th is Iron Man Day! 10am start with Chinese lunch and high tea.
