Member for Dubbo, Troy Grant is encouraging local tourism industry providers to apply for contestable funding under the Regional Visitor Economy Fund (RVEF) before applications close next Friday (13 June).
Mr Grant said the RVEF was established by the NSW Government to support the growth and development of the regional visitor economy.”
“Applications for funding from the $3.5 million RVEF contestable fund are open to industry, local government and Regional Tourism Organisations, to support product development and marketing activities.
The funding program provided a platform for the regions tourism industry to expand its offerings and promote their destination to a wider audience.
“The RVEF aims to boost regional economies through increased tourism – an important industry and contributor to our local towns and cities,” Mr Grant said.
“We have a wonderful region to showcase and I encourage all tourism operators not to miss out on this chance for funding and to lodge their applications by Friday 13 June.”
Applications for round one of the 2014-15 RVEF contestable funding will close at 5:00pm AEST on 13 June 2014. All applications must be submitted online.
