RDA Central West has announced that ex MSN Milling General Manger of Commercial, Josh Gordon, has been appointed as Director of Regional Development for Regional Development Australia Central West (RDA Central West).
Mr Gordon has extensive experience in senior management roles in both the public and private sector and brings with him in-depth knowledge of both current and prospective economic development opportunities for our region.
Currently sitting as Chair of Central West Farming Systems, Mr Gordon says a role with RDA Central West is something he has been contemplating for some time.
“I have collaborated with RDA over the years and have always admired how this organisation executes the Australian Government’s vision for regional growth,” said Mr Gordon.
“This is my first week as director and I am excited for what the future holds for this region, and how RDA Central West will help deliver opportunities for our industries, businesses and communities.”
Mr Gordon currently resides outside Carcoar with his wife and daughter, having been attracted to the region over a decade ago from Northern NSW.
“The Central West is now our home, and I am deeply invested in the future of this region. Working on projects that directly benefit the Central West is where I see myself long-term.”
“Attracting people to our region, improving affordable housing, delivering quality services across health care, childcare, education, aged and disability care and public safety are all issues identified by RDA Central West where we can contribute to improvement.”
“Dealing with climate change and recovery from natural disasters, transitioning to renewable energy and encouraging private investment are also priorities for RDA Central West and I am looking forward to making an impact alongside my team,” added Mr Gordon.
