How has the wet weather affected farming practices?
Mike Harrison: “We have been bogged a number of times which has made it an issue with livestock transport, to the point we have had to bring in 30 tonne of gravel. Young crops are also waterlogged.”
Libby Tremain: “It has made it really hard to check the stock, we have had to even fertilise by air as we couldn’t get on the paddocks. There is also an issue with over fat horses as it affects their health greatly.”
Anthony Harrison: “It has slowed the crop growth and made it harder to spray and fertilise. With the low areas we will loose some but hopefully the hills will compensate for that.”
