On Saturday the Pythons travelled to Blayney. Down on numbers, the boys started slowly with Blayney scoring two quick tries to lead 12-o after 15 minutes. A few good runs by the Schaefer brothers had the Pythons in a good field position and Craig McKenzie capitalised with a darting try, making the score 12-5.
Unfortunately this would be Canowindra’s last hurrah as Blayney ran away with the game, resulting in a final score of 65-5. There was some good work in tight by Alex Gavin and Jacob Wren with 3 points going to Dean Schaefer who cleaned out well and tackled for 80 minutes, 2 points to Luke Watt, 1 point to Jacob Wren and Ben Schaefer and Alex Gavin named players’
player. The Pythons will travel to Molong on Saturday to face the Magpies.
