Public School Gets Planning For Trivia Night

8 April, 2015 By Canowindra Phoenix Editor

Lois Jeffress, Jacki Smith, amanda Jasprizza, Kristy White and Sharon Hawker hard at work planning!-1
Teachers and staff at Canowindra Public school have been busy this week finalising plans and prizes for their trivia night on the 15th April. The evening is aimed at enticing visitors and locals, “we want to attract as many people as possible” says Principal Sharon Hawker, “we’ve got lots of great prizes including local wines, Rosnay olives and goody bags from Caboodle and The French Shoppe. A handsome MC will be in charge for the evening who also hosts trivia nights in Cowra.” The evening will begin at 7pm and shouldn’t finish too late so will be perfect for any balloonists in town who have early rises. This event is the first fundraiser the school has run. Usually the P&C are in charge of events but they’re busy organising a stall at the Balloon Glow where they will be dishing out delicious beef and gravy rolls on April 18th. Money raised on the trivia night will go towards equipment and upgrades in the school. Cheese platters created by Kylie Lawrence will be available to nibble on but please pre-order by calling 6344 2888. “We’re all looking forward to it!” says Sharon, “we would love parents, visitors and community members to come along.”
