Have you ever tried to buy a house? There is the looking, the decision making, the gathering of finances, the offer and then the paperwork! It seems to go on and on and all you are wanting is for settlement to happen and for you to move in and make it a home.
We all have times of stress, anxiety and worry, yet Jesus gives us some big promises. He says in the Bible, “Do not let your heart be worried, be anxious for nothing, cast all your cares and burdens on me.”
Sometimes it is hard to share the burdens we are carrying with anyone else, let alone someone we have only just met or do not know.
As we encounter Jesus through the power of the holy spirit, we may question why God would want to be friends with us?
As we read the stories all about Jesus in the Bible, we realise that God loves us so much that he sent Jesus to us, to show his love for us.
Jesus says that he only did what he saw his father doing. In other words, we know what God the father is like as we look at the works and words of Jesus.
As we get to know Jesus and feel his love and care for us, we can hear him better when he says, “Come to me all you who are weary and I will give you rest.”
Rest for the weary, what a wonderful promise!
Many blessings to you all.
