Rain, hail or shine didn’t stop this meet and greet BBQ held at the CWA hall last Thursday. Locals had the chance to come and meet local member for Orange Phili Donato from 12pm to 3pm with a sausage sandwich in hand. “It is a great opportunity to connect with the community and to find out what the issues are in a very relaxed environment,” said Philip Donato.
Meet and greets have been set up in towns across the Central West to encourage people to get to know there local member and to be able to communicate across issues that they may be facing in their local communities. “This is the 4th one we have held since before Christmas with more coming up in Peak Hill, Molong and Trundle,” Philip Donato said. These meet and greets are a great way
to get information out there and for locals to be heard. “The response has been quite well received today, it’s not the best weather conditions for people to come out but we have had quite a few coming to talk about issues in Canowindra,” Phillip Donato said.
