How long have you lived in or around Canowindra and what is the best thing about living here? I arrived in Canowindra as a backpacker 5 years ago. Friendly and easy going people is what I like about it, it makes me feel at home, which is important if your hometown and family are on the other side of the world.
Where do you work or what do you do currently and what do you enjoy about it? I’m a Latin Dance Instructor, I’ve danced all my life and I like seeing my students smile on the dance floor, especially the ones who come to me saying they can’t dance because they’ve 2 left feet! I enjoy teaching private lessons for wedding couples too. In the last year I’ve been working as a support carer for people with disabilities. It’s rewarding to help them building their daily life skills, and I have established a good bond with them.
What is your favourite thing to do when you have free time? Being in nature with my partner Oli and our doggie Maddie. Basically anything outside.
What makes you proud? Finding myself speaking another language and living in a country with different culture. Also, baking something and it actually turns out good!
If you could be an animal which one would you choose and why? A dog because I’m loyal and I love being around people or a dolphin because that means I would be a good swimmer (which I’m not!)
What is on your bucket list? Having my parents over here, and to visit more countries.
What are you really good at? People often tell me I am good at making them feel at ease.
Tell us about your best holiday ever? Three years ago my partner Oli and I went over to Italy so he could meet my family. Then we went to the South of France, we travelled across Spain and visited Portugal.
Tell us an interesting fact about yourself? I served in the Italian Army for 2 years.
