How long have you lived in or around Canowindra? What do you like about living here? I have been living in Canowindra since January 1994. I love the helpfulness and sense of community that comes from living in a small town.
How are you involved with the community? Mainly through the library these days – just recently by delivering books to library members while we were in lockdown.
Where do you work? What do you enjoy most about where you work? I work at the Canowindra Public Library and the Orange City Library. I love working with books and being able to help find the right book for library members to read when they visit.
What do you do to unwind on weekends? On weekends I read, walk the dogs, garden and crochet. I also love to catch up with friends when possible.
What are you really good at? Yarn and book hoarding – I could be locked down for years and wouldn’t run out of either!
What’s on your bucket list? Visiting New Zealand
If you could have a superpower, what would it be and why? Teleportation – so I could visit family and friends without the travelling time.
Tell us about your best holiday ever… Travelling around Central Australia with my family and friends.
What makes your day? My husband, Andrew, bringing me a cup of tea first thing of a morning and hearing from my daughters.
Tell us an interesting fact about yourself… I originally studied Zoology at UNSW and researched Red Kangaroo behaviour at Fowler’s Gap near Broken Hill.
