Our Gal – Maddie Cooper

8 October, 2020 By Canowindra Phoenix Editor

How long have you lived in or around Canowindra and what is the best thing about living here? I have lived In Canowindra for 9 years.

Where do you work or what do you do currently and what do you enjoy about it? I am currently studying full time at CSU Bathurst for Nursing. I enjoy studying full time as it keeps me busy, and it is something I am so passionate about.

What is your favourite thing to do when you have free time? I love to binge out a series or two on Netflix with my partner and catch up with friends.

What makes you proud? Seeing others and myself being decent human beings and always being nice to others. Working really hard and achieving great results also makes me proud of who I am.

If you could be an animal which one would you choose and why? I would totally be a cat, as they’re a fascinating and majestic creature, they have unique personalities, and they love to have a cuddle and nap for at least 16 hours a day.

What is your all-time favourite movie, song and/or book, and why? Movie – The Notebook (I know cheesy), as it is an all-time classic romance movie that makes me smile, cry and laugh all within the 2 hour period. Song – Dreams by Fleetwood Mac. Book – The Happiest Refugee by Anh Do.

What is on your bucket list? To travel everywhere, but especially Europe.

What are you really good at? I am really good at being organised and prepared, especially when it comes to schoolwork.

Tell us about your best holiday ever? It was when me and my immediate family travelled to Fiji at the end of 2019 to celebrate my graduation of high school and all the hard work that had been paid off.
