How long have you lived in or around Canowindra and what do you like about living here? I have lived in Canowindra for a year in October, it’s a beautiful country village. I love being able to walk to the shops and the friendly people.
How are you involved with the community? I recently became President of the Canowindra Garden Club (I must be crazy lol) and I’m a member of the Services Club.
Where do you work and what do you enjoy most about where you work? I don’t work anymore but love gardening, sewing and spending time with my grandchildren, daughter and son in-law.
What do you do to unwind on weekends? I love a good movie if it’s wet and love being in the garden if it’s sunny with a wine or 3! I also love to take off with my husband in our van for some trips.
What’s your pet hate? I can’t stand seeing rubbish lying in the streets , it’s not hard to pick it up.
What’s on your bucket list? To snorkel on the Great Barrier Reef…hopefully next year!
If you could have a superpower, what would it be and why? I would cure dementia as my mum had it and it’s a terrible degrading disease.
Tell us about your best holiday ever… My best holiday would have to be our trip to WA and back for nearly 3 months. It never ceases to amaze me how big our beautiful country is, especially now as I live on the “Mainland”. I know a few will giggle at that term.
Tell us an interesting fact about yourself… I’ve worked in numerous jobs …from planting brussel sprouts on the back of a tractor to working in clothing, craft and hardware retail, office work, hospitality, gardening, cleaning classrooms to a small amount of modelling and owned my own business and loved them all.
