How long have you lived in Canowindra?
I’m originally from New Zealand. I came to Canowindra via Sydney and Cooma and I’ve been here since 1981.
What is your favourite thing about Canowindra? I like the people, the town and the climate too. It’s nice and a very pretty, friendly town.
Do you have any hobbies or passions?
Apart from my grandkids, I play bowls and I do Tai Chi. I don’t have time for more but I do love to travel.
How many countries have you travelled? I’ve been to Turkey twice and I’ve been to Canada, Alaska, Singapore, and Hong Kong as well as touching a little bit on the States.
Where is your favourite place in the world? Turkey – I love the people! I loved
Istanbul, it’s a beautiful place. I love exotic places.
If you won the lotto, how would you spend it? My kids and grandkids would get some and I’d do some more travelling.
Who inspires you the most? Ataturk, Winston Churchill and Joan of Arc.
What is the biggest change you would like to see in the world? A cessation of
fighting in the Middle East.
