Our Gal – Celia Klinger

27 August, 2020 By Canowindra Phoenix Editor

How long have you lived in or around Canowindra and what is the best thing about living here? I have lived near Cargo for nearly 4 years after living in Cowra for 13 years before that. The best thing is the lifestyle, you have the best of rural and town life, space and amenities!

Where do you work or what do you do currently and what do you enjoy about it? I enjoy volunteering with the CWA and Riding for the Disabled because I get to meet and make new friends while helping out! I also help out on our sheep farm.

What is your favourite thing to do when you have free time? Crocheting and going for walks.

What makes you proud? My three grown up children, one lives in Newcastle, one lives in the UK and the other in Germany.

If you could be an animal which one would you choose and why? A horse because they are beautiful and strong.

What is on your bucket list? To travel again, both around Australia and overseas.

What are you really good at? Communicating, I believe that we all need information that is easy to access and readily available.

Tell us about your best holiday ever? Our river cruise from Budapest to Amsterdam, with a side visit to France and Belgium. We met some interesting people and visited some historic places.

What makes your day? Having a cappuccino coffee for morning tea!
