Our Gal – Beth Gordon

12 August, 2021 By Canowindra Phoenix Editor

How long have you lived in or around Canowindra? Seven years. We moved to Canowindra in 2014 to relocate our nursery for better soil and water supply.

What do you like about living here? I love the small and friendly community. After living in the ACT for 12 years (a Mexican prior to that), it really did feel like coming ‘home’.

Where do you work and what do you enjoy about your job? I work at Eureka Plants. I love being able to provide joy and colour to people’s lives and gardens. Don’t forget to visit us this Sunday for our winter rose sale so we can share that joy. We’d love to see you!!!

What do you do to unwind after work and on the weekends? I wish I could say gardening, but at the moment it is being a taxi to the kids!!

What’s on your bucket list? To see my family in Victoria. To travel overseas again (or just go to the beach!!).

Tell us about your best holiday… I have been very lucky and travelled a lot when I was younger. Central Australia and the NT was a fabulous holiday. And I suppose to get engaged in Toledo, Spain was pretty special.

Tell us an interesting fact about yourself? During high school I played the trombone and was lucky to travel to Europe to play at the Montreux Jazz Festival and at Disneyland Paris.
