How long have you lived in Canowindra and what do you like about living here?
Just on 34 years. I love being part of a small friendly community where it takes 2 hours to walk down Gaskill St just chatting as you go.
Where do you work and what do you enjoy about work?
I am a partner in Balloon Joy Flights with my husband Graham and Toms Waterhole Wines. Meeting new people and giving them an enjoyable experience is the best
With your involvement in the Balloon Challenge what were your roles throughout the event?
Too many things but here goes, media, marketing, general dogsbody and most of all annoying every- one each morning and afternoon with commentary over the PA. Trying to help make the magic happen.
What did you enjoy most about the Balloon Challenge?
Seeing the satisfaction of the pilots, crews, officials, volunteers and visitors as well as the awe and wonder on the children’s faces. The most enjoyment is seeing the economic benefit to the town. It makes all the hard work worth it.
What are you really good at?
Talking
What do you do to unwind after work of on the weekends?
I like to play Sudoku and Freecell on the computer and I enjoy a quiet glass of red wine with friends.
Tell us about your best holiday?
Our best holiday was camping in East Arnhem Land and sharing time with Aboriginals in their Homelands crabbing, game fishing, spear fishing at night in crocodile infested waters and attending the Garma Festival.
