Our Bloke – Lane Fisher

15 October, 2020 By Canowindra Phoenix Editor

How long have you lived in or around Canowindra and what do you like about living here? I moved here in 2007. I like that everyone is friendly and everyone says G’day. I also like living in a small community where everyone knows everyone.

Where do you work and what do you enjoy most about your work? I work at Lawrence’s IGA. I really enjoy working with everyone, it’s like a big happy family. I like meeting people and every day is a little different.

What do you do to unwind after work or on weekends? Go to the pub or club for a beer or two! I also like to play golf and bowls and catch up with mates.

What are you really good at? Talking haha!!

What is your pet hate? Impatient people.

What is on your bucket list? I would love to call a greyhound race at Wentworth Park. I would also like to travel around Australia.

If you could have a super power what would it be and why? I would probably have to say teleportation, then I wouldn’t have to sit in a car to travel.

Tell us about your best holiday ever? Best holiday would probably have to be Louth. I also like going away camping with my family.

What makes your day? When someone tells you that you have done a good job.

Tell us an interesting fact about yourself? In 2015 I had an article written about me in the Greyhound Racing Recorder and I called a Greyhound race at Temora.
