Our Bloke – Jacob Moriarty

25 June, 2020 By Canowindra Phoenix Editor

Jacob Moriarty

How long have you lived in or around Canowindra and what do you like about living here? I was born and raised in Cowra and then moved to Canowindra in 2018. I love the rural setting here and being close to family and friends.

Where do you work and what do you enjoy most about your work? I work for Viridis Ag and I enjoy the diversity of the job where 2 days are never the same. I also work with some top notch blokes who are forever teaching me new things.

What do you do to unwind after work or on weekends? I enjoy going camping and spending time with family and friends.

What are you really good at? Water sports as I have been doing them from a young age.

What is your pet hate? When other people drive in the fog with no headlights on.

If you could have a super power what would it be and why? To be able to teleport so that I can just appear at the desired location instantly.

Tell us about your best holiday ever? Gold Coast last year, I went to the theme parks, stayed in an amazing resort and hung out with my family.

What makes your day? Coming home after a long day to my very handsome Dalmatian Jett.

Tell us an interesting fact about yourself? My partner and I foster animals for the RSPCA Orange Shelter. This is very rewarding as it helps unwanted animals build social skills so they can find their forever homes.
