How long have you lived in Canowindra?
I’ve been here since 1975 when I came here with my first wife. I moved away and lived in Foster for ten years but I eventually came back because all my family were here.
What do you love most about Canowindra?
This time around I’ve been here for twenty years. It’s a good, quiet place.
Where is your favourite place in the world? Canowindra.
If you could have dinner with anyone in the world, who would it be?
I suppose it would be my mother. She reared me up and died when she was 94.
Do you have any hobbies or passions?
I love dancing and I loved riding horses when I was living in Yeoval many, many years ago. I was a pretty fair rider. I flew for 20 years as a pilot – I was 89 when I gave it away! I nearly went through some power lines in a plane
with a passenger. If they had been 2 feet higher, or I’d been 2 feet lower, I would’ve crashed!
