Our Bloke – Darren “Dazza” Green

23 March, 2023 By Canowindra Phoenix Editor

Darren “Dazza” Green

How long have you lived in Canowindra and what do you like most about it? We (my wife and I) have been living here for around 18 months. We love the country setting and the beautiful scenery. The people we meet are the most welcoming of all the country towns we have been to.

What do you do for a living? Currently I am a Cartoonist. I have previously had 35 years in advertising and marketing. I have worked for some very large businesses across the nation. During the last year though, I have been spending more time on cartooning.

How are you involved in the Community? I have been recently elected as President of the Business Chamber. I hope to help the community with adding energy and action to the town of Canowindra and helping local businesses.

What are your hobbies? I love being social, playing the congas, playing golf and eating my wife Maya’s beautiful cooking.

What’s on your bucket list? I’d love to see my son have children and become a grandfather. That would be really amazing.

What is the best advice you could give someone? I think the best advice I could give someone is to keep doing art, even if people tell you it’s not good enough.
