Dan Taylor
How long have you lived in or around Canowindra and what do you like about living here? I moved here with my Mum and Dad from Warren when I was three, I went to school here and pop home every now and then, so that’s 33 years. I like the people the most. They are all very funny.
Where do you work and what do you enjoy most about your work? I work in Sydney for a large construction company, I build a few bridges for a living and it’s very satisfying seeing them completed.
What do you do to unwind after work or on weekends? I love fishing from the beach and the rocks around Sydney, and hanging out with my wife Ingelise.
What are you really good at? Telling Dad jokes.
What is your pet hate? Sydney traffic can drive anyone bananas.
If you could have a super power what would it be and why? Weatherman, I could cool a few days down around Christmas in Canowindra, I don’t handle the heat well. I’ve gone soft living near the coast.
Tell us about your best holiday ever?
Nusa Lembongan Island just off Bali was pretty incredible. Clear water and scuba diving with a dozen Manta Rays was unforgettable.
What makes your day? Getting up early for a swim before work at the beach with my wife always puts me in a great frame of mind for the rest of the day.
Tell us an interesting fact about yourself?
I’m currently working on the new bridge crossing the Clarence River in Grafton, it’s a big challenge but will be impressive when it’s done.
