How long have you lived in Canowindra?
I came here when I was 7 and have been here ever since and I was 84 last Wednesday!
Where did you work?
I left school at 14 and 8 months and went to work for Dad cutting burs and digging out rabbits. It was big wages too, 2 bob a day! Then after that I went onto farming and shearing, breaking horses in.
Where is your favourite place?
Out on the farm down Longs Corner Road
Hobbies?
I played a bit of golf, I like to read now mainly horse and dog books. I got Kurt Fearnleys book for Christmas that was a good read
How do you like your coffee?
I can take it or leave it, prefer a nice cup of tea
Worst habit?
Talking too much I guess!
Who would you like to have dinner with?
My son and daughters and their families.
Do you have any pets?
I’ve got a Jack Russell, Cocoa, and her husband (haha) Also got some sheepdogs out on the farm. We won a sheepdog trial once back in 1965!
