The organisers of Friday night’s Catholic Ball were very happy with how the evening went. A crowd of over 150 people attended the Catholic Ball held at the Canowindra Services Club and danced the night away to the old time music provided by Barry Whitty.
The highlight of the night was the presentation of 5 debutantes from yester year and their original partners and two junior debutantes to Father Loneragan (Laurie) and Matron of Honour, Donna Rygate as well as flower girl Marsha Webster.
Tommy Jeff’s read a tribute to the Queen and a minutes silence was observed by the crowd after her sad passing earlier in the day.
“It was nice to see everyone dressed for the occasion and enjoying a wonderful night,” said organiser Jenny Middleton.
Organisers Jenny Middleton and Gail Davis would like to thank the Canowindra Services Club for providing the venue for the Canowindra Catholic Ball, the venue was tastefully decorated and looked amazing.
The profit from the ball will be donated to the Ukraine Refugees settling in the Orange area.
