On Saturday 27 October the Canowindra High School P&C will hold the annual Canowindra Open Garden Day showcasing seven amazing gardens in and around Canowindra. The gardens will be open from 9am to 4pm and entry is $25 for the seven gardens, children under 18 are free. Tickets are available at Canowindra High School Office before the day, or at each garden on the day. Morning and afternoon tea and lunch will be available all day at the Canowindra High School Canteen Courtyard.
The Open Gardens for 2018 are:
Garden 1: Linda Guthrie
170 Gaskill St, Canowindra: A grass free garden with Mediterranean style plants and roses.
Garden 2: Louise and Rob Clulow
36 Rodd St, Canowindra: An eclectic mix of art and garden on a narrow sloping block delights the senses.
Garden 3: Mark and Kim Edwards
44 Rodd St, Canowindra: Tough, productive and low maintenance garden for cooking and entertaining.
Garden 4: Owen and Donna McLaughlan
“Viewmonte” 271 Square Rd, Moorbel: A country garden with well loved plants and a few surprises for the grandkids.
Garden 5: Jenny and Brian McClintock
3859 Belubula Way, Canowindra: Expanses of lawn with perennials and roses.
Garden 6: Michael Lindsay and Jane Daly
“Leitrum” 96 Cranky Rock Rd, Canowindra: A work in progress that compliments the views.
Garden 7: Denese Smith and Ken Saward
“Hillcrest” 210 Hillcrest Lane, Canowindra: Large rural garden surrounding pise house, taking second place to farm for water and attention.
