A call has been put out to the Canowindra community to search their archives for photos, memorabilia and information on the Canowindra Pythons Rugby Union Club. Following the success of the Tigers centenary celebrations, which brought together past players and members along with photographs and tall tales about the club, locals and history nerds alike are looking to fill in some of the gaps in the Pythons’ history. If you have any photos, memorabilia or stories, please forward them to the Canowindra Historical Society.
The society has a new top of the line scanner, which allows items to be recorded in the highest quality without damaging the original. These items can then be held in trust by the society for posterity. For more information email heritage@canowindra-history.com.
