EDUCATION WEEK. Next week is Education Week. This year it is 60 years since the first education week occurred and to celebrate, the theme this year is a revamp of the original theme “Lighting the way to a better world”. To celebrate this important week for public education we will be inviting students to be part of a competition to produce a story, poem, piece of artwork, etc. that best highlights this theme for them. The best entries and winners will be featured in our newsletter over the coming weeks.
SUBJECT FEES. Earlier this year all families were issued with invoices for the 2014 school fees and we seek your support in paying them. If you haven’t yet done so, payment would be appreciated, either in full or in part as soon as possible. School fees, although they are not mandatory, do allow us to support your child’s education through buying those resources which
assist their learning. For students undertaking elective courses however, subject fees are required to be paid in order for them to be able to successfully complete the coursework. If your child has chosen an elective but has yet to pay their fees please contact the school to discuss how this can be resolved.
PARENT-TEACHER EVENING. I would like to remind parents that this Tuesday from 4-6:30pm is our second parent-teacher evening for the year and invite you to attend this important evening. Appointments can be made by students with their teachers until the end of tomorrow. I look forward to seeing you there.
CONGRATULATIONS to Matt Harrison on being the of Canteen voucher winner last week.
