The book of the week this week is Looking for Alaska by John Green. Some of you may have read The Fault in Our Stars by the same author. This book is just as good as he tells the story of Pudge, and his relationship to the fabulous Alaska Young. Life changes from boring and predictable to “sometimes crazy and possibly unstable”. John Green’s characters are so believable that you feel you are living in the book with them. This book is highly recommended by everyone who has borrowed it.
Also in the library this week is the sequel to Jessica Brody’s book, Unremembered. The sequel is Unforgotten and is just as action packed as the first book in the series. It has already been borrowed and returned twice with excellent reviews each time.
This week we celebrate Reconciliation week in the library with both fiction and non fiction books about our indigenous culture. We also celebrate indigenous writers and their contribution to our Australian Arts scene.
