On Wednesday 19 March two Year 12 students, Codie and Montana performed a practical component of an assessment item titled “Producing Meals for Customers,” as part of their Hospitality course.
They were required to develop a two-course meal using a range of methods of cookery for the public within an allocated time frame. The two candidates had to prepare, cook and plate and serve the meal and clean up and shut down the kitchen.
Codie and Montana devised a main course of Chicken Pot Pie with Gratin Potatoes and Vegetable Bundles and a dessert of Two Tone Chocolate Mousse.
The luncheon guests comprised of Montana’s Mum and Dad and Codie’s Mum and Nan. They were very complimentary about the meal however they did find the meals very rich and they could hardly move afterwards!
As you will see by the accompanying photos the standard of the meals was of restaurant quality and both Montana and Codie are to be commended on their skills and effort all the way through this task.
