On Tuesday 6th May 2014 the Canowindra High School Under 16 rugby league team travelled to Dubbo with Mr Phelan and Mr Blackburn for the CRL Western Small Schools Gala Day. It was a packed draw for the day including four games with twelve minute halves.
Results were as follows:
Game 1 Canowindra HS (28) defeated St Raphael’s Cowra (0)
Game 2 Canowindra HS (14) defeated The Henry Lawson HS (0)
Game 3 Nyngan HS (10) defeated Canowindra HS (6)
Game 4 Oberon HS (24) defeated Canowindra HS (12)
Throughout the day John Mallon, Nathan Whatman, Sam Willson and Wesley Blair scored 2 tries each, whilst Jack Grant, Blake Cramer and William Middleton all scored 1 try each. Jack Grant converted 7 tries from 10 attempts and Lachlan Balcombe converted 1 try from 1 attempt.
