New Special Feature…Stay The Night

10 September, 2014 By editor

xx stay
Ever fancy getting away for the weekend? Whether it’s a present for a loved one, a family holiday or just an excuse to go somewhere different to the humdrum of everyday life, staying the night in a place other than home sends a bolt of excitement down the most domestic of spines. The Phoenix has hunted down a range of places that over over-night stays for you readers to peruse over…
The Valley Hotel Motel is based on the main street of Cowra for easy access to amenities. Although they’re close enough to walk around Cowra, quiet, off street parking is also available. They have a restaurant called “The Dek” that opens from Wednesday to Saturday for a range of classic Aussie cuisine. The main attraction of this hotel is its decking area out front. The wood-panelled area has a blue colour scheme and is surrounded by palm trees, creating your own little piece of the Mediterranean in the middle of New South Wales. As the weather starts to warm up live bands will play while guests sip on a cold beer. Top this all off with a large bar, huge TV for watching sports and a skittles sweet machine and it’s a recipe for fun. The Hotel is also looking for staff so if you’d like to join the friendly team call Kevin on 0263422900.
Is a rural retreat more your style? Country Gardens Motor Inn is Cowra’s hidden gem. Located at the edge of town on secluded acreage, it’s the perfect place to relax and unwind away from the hustle and bustle of the centre. Rooms are well equipped with all the mod cons including air conditioning, hair dryers, wide screen TVs (including Foxtel channels for sports fans), unlimited wireless broadband and a mini snack bar! The spa room is particularly luxurious, with a Jacuzzi bath large enough for two (perfect for romantic weekends away). Open your room door and you’ll be greeted with an outdoor swimming pool and a hidden garden area, your own private oasis. If you want to treat your partner this spring, call Thelma on 0263411100 and watch those weekday worries melt away.
If a stylish city break calls to you, Apartments On-The-Park in Orange is the place to stay. Offering an affordable selection of three bedroom and two bathroom houses, plus a studio, you can achieve a live-in experience that isn’t available from a hotel room. The three bedrooms houses are all within the inner city and fully furnished, including linen. 19 Kite St is a heritage home opposite the beautiful and historic Cook Park whilst the other properties are all within 3 streets of the area. The gorgeous apartments are within a short walk of coffee shops, restaurants and sporting facilities, including a golf club for the competitive amongst you! Bookings can be made directly by calling 63618114 or online at www.apartmentsonpark.com.au

For nature lovers, Eugowra Showground’s Caravan & Camping is set up for all your wild, adventurous needs. They are open every day, all year round to pitch a tent or caravan in economical powered and unpowered sites. The showers are fully functioning and the grounds offer a range of other amenities including clean drinking water and disabled facilities. Unlike most hotels, pets are a welcome addition to the camp and there are cafes nearby if the family are feeling peckish. This is the perfect place for young explorers to discover their natural environment in a safe setting. The Showground is set to be busy now the days are getting warmer, so be sure to pack up your tent and join the outdoor fun!
