Canowindra Public School students having fun in the new sandpit.
We’ve had a great start to Term 4 at Canowindra Public School. It’s been wonderful to see how quickly everyone has reconnected with their classroom teachers and friends, we’re all just happy to be back together. We are still operating under Level 3 restrictions, and we hope to see the gradual relaxation of these over the coming months so that we can conduct our important end of year events.
The school has purchased new sandpit equipment for Level 1 and 3. This has revitalised these spaces and the students are loving spending time in them.
Kinder Orientation began last week and will continue every Thursday until November 11. We are very excited to welcome the next cohort of students to Canowindra Public School. These sessions are designed to get to know each student and to introduce them to our school so the transition at the beginning of the year is as smooth as possible. Kinder Orientation will continue every Thursday afternoon until November 11. If you have a child ready to start school next year, you can call the school office for more information.
K-2 students participated in Musica Viva’s ‘Water Water Everywhere’ concert online. Students learnt about music by exploring percussion instruments in water with a focus on sustainability. Students were able to appreciate the impact water has on their lives and asked many questions thinking about how they could make music in water. Year 6 will be participating in the Monster Marathon this Friday. The students complete a set course around the school and run as many laps as they can to raise money for the Year 6 farewell gift to the school.
