After many years of lobbying and rallying by the local schools and the Canowindra community an improvement will finally be made at the dangerous Tilga St crossing.
An RMS representative last week announced that hopefully during the October school holidays a set of flashing lights will be installed at the crossing.
These lights will be sensor activated when pedestrians approach the crossing and will operate school days when the flags are out from 8.00am – 4.00pm.
The advantage of the lights is that they enhance visibility. It is very important students and parents know they still need to take care at the Tilga St crossing.
