Muzz from Muzzy;s Meats with his wife Bec, handing over to Wallace Stranger and Max Benaurd. Max and Wal hope to
open the doors next March.
A butcher shop is a staple in every country town, more than just a shop, the local butcher is known to everyone, happy to have a chat and provide their customers with fresh quality produce.
Recently, Muzzy’s Quality Meats decided it’s time for a change and have handed the reigns over to local bloke Wallace Stranger, and Southern Highlands butcher, Max Benaud.
The name may change, but Wal and Max ensure us they will strive to uphold the high standard of customer service provided by Muzzy’s Quality Meats over the past several years.
The pair decided to purchase the butchery after seeing how they could offer lamb direct from the Stranger family farm to the public.
Canowindra has a rich history in agriculture and producing quality goods, something that Max and Will want to share with everyone through the butcher shop.
“We are looking forward to bringing top quality, local produce to Canowindra,” explains Wal.
Wal and Max plan to open in March 2023, so while that won’t be in time for your Christmas ham, they are excited about what they are going to offer for Christmas 2023.
Keep and eye out for the grand opening next March.
On behalf of the Canowindra communitty, we would like to take the opportunity to farewell Muzz and his family and thank them for all the support they have given our town with the many fundraisers, sausage sizzles and events. We wish them every success in their next endeavour.
