New Guys On The Block

20 April, 2023 By Canowindra Phoenix Editor

Max and Wal in front of their meat cabinet in their new shop. The guys are looking forward to providing quality products to the residents of Canowindra.

No main street could be complete without a butcher shop, and now we can shop locally with Canowindra Butchery opening its doors last Friday, April 14th.

Winning the crowds over on Saturday morning at the street parade with their top notch sausages, the guys will be busy providing quality produce to the local clientele.

Wallace Stranger and Max Benaud made the decision to set up shop in Canowindra to tap into our vast supply of local producers, including the Stranger Family Farm here in Canowindra. A true paddock to plate experience.

“Our aim is to tell a transparent farm to fork story while ultimately providing a wide range of high quality produce. We will be providing tailor made cut to order experience.”

“Therefore if we are missing something in our meat cabinet we are open to requests. We are planning to rotate our value added items from week to week,” said Wallace Stranger.

The fully updated shop and signage is a great enhancement to our main street, its inviting feel and large open windows encourages everyone to pop in and have a look, say hi to the guys and check out what’s on offer.

Spoilt for choice, the Canowindra Butchery had everything from chicken kebabs, chuck steak, Texas chilli sausages, roast lamb and so much more.

The shop will be open Thursday and Friday 8am – 6pm and Saturday 8am to 3pm.

We wish them every success in their new business and encourage all of Canowindra to shop local and support the team at Canowindra Butchery.
