Last Wednesday, the newly elected Mayor Cr Kevin Beatty paid a visit to Canowindra to meet up with the local Councillors and
visit some of the places that require some input from Council and work carried out on them.
He was accompanied on his visit by Deputy Mayor Cr Anthony Durkin, Crs Cheryl Newsom, Jenny Weaver, Peter Batten, Greg Treavors and Libby Oldham. The local Councillors were able to point out the concerns around the Blue Jacket Lookout, some areas of South Canowindra, Sheps Corner, the proposed new Medical Centre site, Orana House and then met with some local business owners.
Cabonne Council has also announced the delegates to the local organisations in and around the Shire. Cr Anthony Durkin is the delegate for the Canowindra Sports Trust, Central Tablelands Council, and alternate for the Canowindra Retirement Village Project Working Committee.
Cr Cheryl Newsom is the delegate for the Canowindra Chamber of Commerce, Eugowra Promotion and Progress Association, and alternate delegate to Cargo Progress Association, Central NSW Business HQ and Verto Limited.
Cr Kevin Walker is the delegate for the Central Tablelands Water, Belubula River Joint Committee, Cabonne Caravan Park Committee, Canowindra Age of Fishes Museum Board and Strategic Advisory Committee, Canowindra Food Basket Advisory Group, Canowindra Retirement Village Project Working Committee, and Cr Jenny Weaver is the delegate to the Central West Libraries Committee and Cabonne Country Tourism Advisory Committee.
