Bruschetta, Lasagne, Gnocchi, Pasta anyone?
Get ready because you will soon start to see these items on the menu at the Canowindra Services Club now that new Italian Chef Orlando Cavallo has started.
Orlando is from the Isle of Capri on Italy’s Bay of Naples and comes with an amazing 37 years experience as a 5 Star Chef all over the world. Orlando has worked in Italy, Germany, Switzerland, Sydney, Melbourne, Cowra and is now the new Chef at Canowindra Services Club.
There will now be a number of different specials at the restaurant each week so keep an eye out on the Canowindra Services Club Facebook page for updates.
Orlando and his wife who works at Canowindra Public School love the town of Canowindra and recently purchased a small farm nearby.
There won’t just be Italian on the new look menu though, all your old Club favourites will still feature and there may even be Mexican and Turkish specials too which are some of Orlando’s favourite to cook.
Club Manager Julie Fliedner said “We are looking forward to the changes in the menu that Orlando will bring to the Club, it will be great to have a different style of food available right here in Canowindra.”
“Serving Italian food at the Services Club is very unique as we will be the only place that offers it in Canowindra,” said Canowindra Services Club President, Tom Beath.
