The Nations of Origin is a multifaceted sport, cultural, education and leadership programthat culminates around NAIDOC week annually.
Each year around 1,400 Indigenous and non-Indigenous young people represent their Aboriginal Nation in Rugby League Basketball, Netball and Gymnastics to promote reconciliation within communities and celebrate Australia’s diverse Indigenous culture.
This year, Canowindra High School students Adison Newcombe, Dimity Rogers and Jeremiah Tapim will be attending Nations of Origin Tournament alongside other participants from Cowra and surrounding areas.
Adison and Dimity will be competing in the U16s girls tackle Rugby League, and Jeremiah in the U16s Boys Basketball. Well done to these students, and best of luck.
