During the school holidays, Jack Miller (Year 9)represented Canowindra High School atthe Australian School Boys Rugby LeagueChampionships. A huge congratulations toJack and his teammates who came away asNational Champions!
Jack was in camp for nine days with his team that came from NSW, QLD and the Torres Strait Islands. They won their first game v Northern Territory 46-6, their second game v Victoria 30-6, and their third game v Western Australia 40-6.
The grand final against Western Australia was a heart stopping game. The boys came from being behind 16 – 8 with 8 minutes to go, to 16 all right on full time. The game then went to golden point with two, five minute halves. The boys went over twice with two disallowed tries before finally crossing the line to score the winning try in the fifth minute.
Jack played fantastic football in all games and did his school and the Canowindra Tigers proud. Congratulations Jack!
