Last Saturday St Edwards Primary School P&F held a successful fundraiser with over 80 people attending the Mother’s Day Cocktail Soiree.
“The Cocktail Soiree was a great success with numbers higher than expected,” said Jane Atkinson, St Edwards P&F Publicity Officer.
“The food was amazing! We had duck pancakes, Tommy’s curries and a decadent dessert table. The cocktails were also a hit with the suave debonair Principal Ken McNamara being chief barman,” said Mandy Townsend.
With an estimated $2,000 raised for the school, “The money will go towards purchasing new furniture for the infants classroom to create a collaborative, funky, fun and engaging learning environment,” said Mandy Townsend.
Mandy says fundraising events don’t happen without the generous support of businesses and the community.
“Thank you to everyone who came along, we are so glad you all had a lovely night. Thanks to the St Eddie’s parents for the yummy desserts, Karen Parrish and friends for the beautiful cards, Swinging Bridge, Windowrie Wines and Pinaroo Estate for donating wine, Canowindra Bottle Shop for donating our gorgeous wine hampers and helping out with the cocktails and of course Tommy Jeffs, as none of it would have been possible without him donating his time, delicious curries and allowing us to host the Soiree at Montrose House. Thank you Tommy!”
The St Edwards Primary School P&F will be hosting more events throughout the year including their annual Spring Fling, expected to be bigger and better then ever!
