Hello readers and welcome to this month’s column!
Goodness me it’s Spring and don’t you just love this time of year, flowers blooming everywhere and everyone is in a pleasant happy mood.
August has been quite busy with lots of visitors in town, we have been totally booked out, accommodation wise for the whole month, actually up till the end of November as I think everyone else has been which is wonderful for our little towns economy.
Had a couple of birthdays and anniversary dinners over the month, making sure it was just immediate family and doing tables of eight people so as to observe the Covid-19 rules.
Did a wonderful birthday celebration for great mate Ron Cains 80th, with a Hawaiian themed luncheon for family and close Lions mates, everyone looked fabulous in their bright shirts and we supplied Leis for everyone to get them in the mood. A beautiful meal, sensational birthday cake and toasts to Ron from family and friends made it a wonderful day!
We also hosted a tropical themed dinner for Melissa Gersbach organised by her hubby Phil, with close friends and family celebrating this beautiful girls birthday.
I also have been opening for breakfast on the weekends to cater for the large number of visitors in town.
We opened for Brunch on Father’s Day and were totally booked out till 1pm with everyone very happy!
Did a nice dinner for Wendy Bowman and eight of her pals on Saturday 12th September, really lovely crew.
Just back from Sydney where I received my OAM medal at Government House from the Governor General, wonderful day in very esteemed company, pretty proud moment for me, my family and my town. It was televised around Australia and internationally with Canowindra getting lots of mentions.
Take care,
Tommy xxx
