Hello readers and welcome back!
It’s 2020 and lots of exciting things planned in our beautiful little town this year, and we have had two lots of wonderful rain – keep it coming!
The McColl clan gathered for an elegant luncheon to celebrate some family members combined birthdays during the first week in January.
On Sunday 12th January I hosted two bus loads of people from Sydney and Port Macquarie here for the Elvis Festival, dinner, live music and show in the backyard which was a fabulous night.
On Saturday 18th January the most elegant luncheon was held for popular locals David Harrison and his twin sister Elizabeth Balcombe who celebrated their combined 80th Birthdays with a beautiful luncheon themed in navy and white. It was a really special day for this wonderful group of people, proud to say they are dear friends of mine for many years now, so I went all out to make their day as fabulous and magic as I could – they finished lunch at 5.30pm so all good!
Surprise birthday lunch today for a special local girl with 30 of her friends coming from all over to surprise her.
On Saturday 25th January we will celebrate the life of my good mate Richard Glasson who we lost last year after a long illness. It will be a full house with over 150 people in Montrose House and the gardens with a “Hamptons” style theme. The “Hiawatha” set will all be in attendance celebrating this wonderful mans life and his importance to Canowindra. Local band “Static Nomadic” will be playing, the Royal Hotel will be doing drinks and of course I will be doing a fabulous, sumptuous buffet dinner. It should be a wonderful send off to this bloke who touched so many lives in town.
Also on that day we have a birthday luncheon for Mrs Evelyn Marlow from Eugowra celebrating her 80th Birthday with a family group of 24 in our Tuscany Room.
All the very best for a wonderful new year, wealth, health and happiness to all our beautiful little towns citizens! Best wishes,
Tommy x
