Hello readers,
Welcome to this months column and autumn is finally here with lovely sunny days and cool nights to sleep in those warm beds. I have had all of the fires going at Montrose House and they have kept the house nice and toasty.
I started the month off with a beautiful red and white themed dinner for Jill Messenger who celebrated her 70th birthday with a large gathering of her wonderful family. This very special lady doesn’t look her age, that’s for sure. A beautiful night was had by all, Happy Birthday Jilly!
We also celebrated best friend Sandra Russell’s daughter Abbies 21st with a fabu- lous night of family and friends with a deli- cious buffet in the Tuscany room, everyone dressed to the nines and had a wonderful time.
Lots of visitors staying from Sydney and Melbourne, also a couple touring from Eng- land who loved the house, especially the big fire going in the library, very impressed with Canowindra and its people.
Fiona and Rachel Ferguson organised a 30th Birthday for family member Katie on Friday the 12th with a gathering of girlfriends from Forbes and surrounding areas to cel- ebrate this sensational lady’s birthday, with a red and black themed dinner party.
Saturday the 13th May I was pleased to open my house to the St Eddys Cocktail Par- ty for a Mother’s Day Fundraiser. I donated all the food for the night, which saw them raise well over $2,000 for the school. These Canowindra girls shine when they put their glad rags on. A sensational night had by all.
I hosted the PLC Pymble Ladies College Monday the 15th for the second year in a row. A delightful bunch of girls and teach- ers. Thanks to Julie from Riverview Motel for letting me spoil these special ladies, the hat parade was so much fun.
Then an 80th birthday lunch on Sunday 21st for Cath Fitzsimmons Mum in a pink and silver theme and that’s my month. I am heading off overseas on the 27th May for a couple of weeks rest and recreation so look- ing forward to that.
Take care and look after yourself. Tommy x
