Hello Readers,
Welcome to this month’s column. Hope you all had a really wonderful Easter with lots of visitors and Easter eggs.
We’ve had a couple of very busy weeks here at Montrose House with lots of visitors and four functions at the house. I had a wonderful week away in Sydney doing a couple of cabaret shows for the Women’s Refuges with some of my show business friends. We raised lots of money to keep these homes open to suffering women and children.
On Friday 7th April, in conjunction with Canowindra Lions Club and Seniors Week, we hosted a beautiful ‘Royal’ luncheon for our local seniors. The room was dressed in royal purples and lots of rabbits. A beautiful 2 course meal was served with tea, coffee and chocolates. Lion, Ron Cain and committee did a wonderful job and everyone at- tending enjoyed themselves thoroughly.
Mary Finn and her family celebrated her brother Ed’s birthday on Sunday 9th April with a beautiful blue themed luncheon in the ‘Southampton Room’. The lovely family thoroughly enjoyed this special family lunch organised by matriarch Mary.
Easter Saturday 15th April, Pam McNabb and hubby had a superb family dinner to celebrate their wedding anniversary with all their family joining in the festivities. A scrumptious dinner was served with a pat- ty cake display for their anniversary cake. What a lovely celebration for this gorgeous couple, congratulations.
Balloon week this week so lots of visitors. I am also doing a big cabaret show at the Services Club on Friday night to raise money for autism, hopefully it’s a big success for this truly worthy cause. Don’t forget to get your tickets from the Phoenix office.
Plenty of things to do for visitors with the Balloon Glow, dinners, art exhibition and market stalls so welcome to the gorgeous village of Canowindra and get to know our locals. We are very friendly and happy to
show you around. Take care of yourselves, Love Tommy xx
