Hello readers, welcome to this month’s column from Montrose House. The festive season is upon us and there are lots of Christmas parties and gatherings here at the house. We had Cowra cake decorators on Saturday 3rd December for a luncheon, then Canowindra Fire Brigade for a wonderful outside seafood buffet that night followed by Orange Ophir Lodge on Sunday 4th for a sumptuous luncheon with a wonderful group of very smart people.
Last weekend Gooloogong mixed nuts group of lovely ladies and Sue Flannery from Cudal. The Phoenix had their Christmas party on the terrace Thursday evening with a variety of tapas, really happy crowd of people and then on Friday 9th Beecher Wool Services from Cowra enjoyed their Christmas party, lots of fun and laughs with this jolly crew of mad buggers. Saturday 10th we hosted Gooloogong Historical Society and the Cargo Garden Club so both rooms were filled with laughter, great food, bon-bons, Santa and a lovely atmosphere. That night we hosted Carla Sparkes studio group from Cowra, great bunch of very elegant ladies. Sunday 11th December Yvonne Bell and her group from Orange Book Club which made it a very busy week.
This week I held a surprise luncheon for well known identity Richard Glasson which was organised by Brian and Peter Locke which was wonderful and I also have lots of other groups from Cowra, Orange and Canowindra to keep me busy. Christmas Eve I will be holding an 80th birthday dinner for McLaren matriarch, Hugh McLaren with a large family gathering.
Christmas Day is all booked out and there will be visitors staying with me for a week. Boxing Day dinner and a couple more family
dinners that week and then it is holidays thank goodness. A big thank you to all my clients and family and friends for your continued support in 2016, let’s see what 2017 will bring. I want to wish you all a healthy, happy, prosperous New Year and celebrate this time with family and friends.
Best Wishes, Tommy x
